The instructional services department at Jefferson City Schools is committed to providing leadership, service, and support necessary for improving teaching and learning. Our goal is to provide instructional experiences that allow all students to maximize their potential through the implementation of research-based instructional strategies, innovations, and activities that facilitate achievement for all students. Our staff members work collaboratively with school leaders to guide the development of rigorous and relevant curriculum, instructional design, and assessment practices to ensure teacher effectiveness and student learning across all grade levels and courses. We are committed to designing quality learning experiences that reflect high expectations and lead to high levels of student engagement and performance. The instructional services staff members recognize the importance of establishing 21st Century learning environments and expanding opportunities to increase learning through digital content and the integration of technology. Staying abreast of the rapidly changing trends and best practices is essential in assisting the Jefferson City School System in accomplishing its mission and vision to graduate fully functioning adults who are competitive in a global society.
